Francis Wilson Playhouse says, “The Show Must Go On!”

CLEARWATER - In the true spirit of camaraderie for the sake of community theatre and actors who had rehearsed for weeks, Francis Wilson Playhouse pulled out all stops last weekend to lend a hand to its sister theatre from Dunedin, West Coast Players.

After a sudden turn of events on Friday afternoon, WCP had only 24 hours to find a stage and an auditorium in order to open their hit show "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change".

Located on the bay in Clearwater at 302 Seminole Street, Francis Wilson Playhouse was happy to host WCP’s hilarious comedy to almost a full house on both Saturday and Sunday.  Scheduled performances on August 15, 16 and 17 should draw equally large audiences.

Graham Jones, President of the Francis Wilson Playhouse Board of Directors emphasized, "We are a theatre community and understand how hard many people work to bring a show to the stage.  Our next show (the Cole Porter musical High Society, based on The Philadelphia Story) does not open until September 4th, so we were able to reschedule some rehearsals and make our theatre available to West Coast Players."

Francis Wilson Theatre is celebrating its 79th season.
