Camp Fun in the Sun Comes to an End
Weekly field trips, daily swimming, arts and crafts, fun games, sports and more filled the days for youth attending Camp Fun in the Sun at the Long Center in Clearwater this summer. The group caught on camera above is awaiting the presentation of a skit featuring their camp instructors (shown at back). Recreation specialist Shaun Beasley, standing at back, far right, was camp director. Highlight of the skit was when one of the instructors took a pie in the face. Last day of camp was August 15.
Campers in grades 1-5 get in the swing of things at the end-of-the-summer dance at the Long Center last week. Music for the fun activity, part of Camp Fun in the Sun, was provided by D.J. Smooth (a.k.a. Tony Carter). Those attending also were treated to a performance by teen singer Jaimie Myer.
