Sea Shell Club to See Video at September MeetingCLEARWATER – Suncoast Conchologists Shell Club members will see a promotional CD that the club has produced to promote an international convention of seashell enthusiasts that it will host in July of 2009 on Clearwater Beach. The CD, Cruising The Suncoast, highlights Clearwater Beach as well as the many activities that the club is planning for this 5-day annual convention of the Conchologists of America. The club will also see pictures taken at the most recent convention held in San Antonio, Texas, this past July, and view “Conch” shells collected by members during the summer in special “Mini-Box displays. Site of the 2009 convention will be the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort, chosen for the size of its ballroom facilities which will house a veritable supermarket of exotic sea shells and shell-related items that will be on sale and open to the general public the last two days of the convention. Shell dealers from around the world will be on hand for this once-a-year event. September’s meeting will be held on the 2nd at 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Trinity Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Rainbow Drive and Hercules in Clearwater.
