
Local Artwork Sought for Cleveland Street BannersCLEARWATER – The City of Clearwater is offering $100 honorariums, cash prizes and gift certificates to Tampa Bay area artists who create jazz-themed artworks/designs that are selected for display on banners hung from 30 lamp posts in downtown Clearwater this October and November. The banners, an integral part of downtown’s Cleveland Street District outdoor art gallery, are expected to complement the city’s annual Clearwater Jazz Holiday and will be sponsored by Clearwater’s Public Art and Design program. Local artists who are 18 or older are encouraged to submit hard copy or digital designs that incorporate jazz-related subject matter that can be reproduced on the 18-inch by 48-inch vinyl banners. Submissions must be received by 5 p.m., September 10 and may be delivered in person or mailed to Clearwater Parks & Recreation Department.
