Clearwater Main Library Fall 2008 Art ExhibitsCLEARWATER – Fall art exhibits will be on display Sept. 1 – Nov. 25, throughout the Clearwater Main Library’s galleries, 100 N. Osceola Ave.: Tropical Paradise, watercolor paintings by “plein-air” artist Kirsten Andreason will be exhibited in the Carnegie Gallery. Doll Exhibit will be on display in the 1st Floor Lobby Display Cases, courtesy of the Pinellas Opera League. Pet Portraits by Christina Lindley will be on display in the Osceola Gallery. A reception to celebrate Pet Portraits will be held Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. Glass Creations by Steve Schramek will be in the Osceola Gallery Display Cases. Public Art Exhibition: BOWser Abodes, on display Sept. 1 – 30. The Pinellas Animal Foundation presents designer doghouses created by local architects, builders, artists, and designers to benefit animal education and service programs. To celebrate BOWser Abodes the Bark-A-Latte Reception will be held Sept. 13, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The galleries are open Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, call (727) 562-4970, ext. 5284.
