Young Sea Turtles Rescued
Clearwater Marine Aquarium recently became home to two young sea turtles who stranded. Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Manager Danielle O’Neil (left in photo) named the first one “Tek” after Boston Red Sox Pitcher Jason Varitek. Shortly after when the second turtle came in, another Clearwater Marine Aquarium employee who likes the Rays (Sea Turtle Nesting Manager Mike Anderson…pictured right) named that one “Kaz” after pitcher Scott Kazmir. So the two have a friendly rivalry going on right now with the Red Sox in town.
