Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association Upcoming EventsNext Thursday Sept. 19th is the next boat club meeting - Marlin Time (inside Brewmasters) 6-7 p.m. Happy Hour and 7 p.m. meeting. Plans for the island cleanup scheduled the morning of Oct. 11 will be finalized and the Veteran's Boat Parade will be discussed. Saturday, September 20th, IRB will sponsor Poker Run. Registration will be held at Cuso's Cantina and the end of the run party is at Crabby Bill's Loading Dock. The goal is to visit the participating bars and restaurants from 3 to 8 p.m. At each location someone will sign your registration card and give you a playing card - limit one card per person per location. Make your best five card poker hand and present it at the Crabby Bill’s Loading Dock party, for a chance to win prizes. If you don't know how to play poker, someone will be available to help you pick your hand. There will be cash prizes for the top three hands and the worst hand. There will also be random drawings held throughout the evening at the Loading Dock. You must be present to win. There are a number of IRB locations for you to visit. Each will be offering different drink specials. You don't have to visit them all. You can choose which ones you want to go to, but you do need five to make your poker hand. The cost to participate is $5 per person in advance, $10 the day of the event. Registration forms will be available at IRB HOA’s Happy Hours and on IRBhome.com. All participants will receive a Homeowners Koozie along with their registration card. Everyone is encouraged everyone to register in advance and not to DRINK & DRIVE! Take the trolley or since these are all in IRB, walk the route. Plans for November's Taste of IRB are being finalized. This year's event is November 8th from 5 to10 p.m. New this year is a raffle for hundreds of dollars of restaurant gift certificates and other goodies. Raffle tickets will be sold at upcoming Happy Hours. If you would like to volunteer that evening to sell beer, wine or raffle tickets, send an email to Becky Griffin, Treasurer IRB Homeowners Assoc.
