Rotary Club of Clearwater Meets at Belleair Country Club

Heidi Akers, President of Progress Energy Heart Gallery of Pinellas & Pasco, joined the Rotary Club of Clearwater on Wednesday, September 10th at the Belleair Country Club to talk about Florida’s foster care system and to explain how the Heat Gallery is helping raise awareness to place foster children with families. Launched in 2006, The Heart Gallery is a museum-quality exhibit of photographs featuring the faces and stories of foster children in Pinellas and Pasco counties. Displayed in malls, churches, YMCAs, and other public venues, the gallery enables would-be adoptive parents to “connect” with any of the 130 displayed children in need of permanent families.
