Garden Club of St. Petersburg Upcoming HappeningsST. PETERSBURG – The Garden Club of St. Petersburg will be holding a Coffee & Garden Crafts Workshop on Monday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to noon. A materials fee of $3.50 for Garden Club members and $4.50 for guests and the general public will be charged to cover supplies. The workshop will be “Decorating Gift Bags for the Holidays.” Bring your own scissors, pencil and small paint brushes. Coffee and tea will be furnished. The Garden Club of St. Petersburg will hold Coffee & Garden Crafts workshops once a month until May 2009. All craft workshops are open to the general public, potential new members and guests. The Garden Club of St. Petersburg will hold its Horticulture for Weekend Gardeners, (AKS the “Nigh Bloomers’ Circle) Tuesday, October 7th, at 7 p.m. at the Garden Center, 500 Sunset Dr., So. St. Petersburg. Meetings are free and open to the public. The speaker will be Michael O’Leary, who will be presenting an informative program on Bromeliads.
