BRANDON – The Florida Atlantic Owls, victims of a two game sweep by the University of South Florida Ice Bulls the previous weekend, spoiled USF's 2008 home debut, winning by scores of 6-2 and 6-5 last weekend. On Friday, the Ice Bulls discovered that you don't score many goals while sitting in the penalty box. They fell behind 4-0 during a penalty-filled second period and were unable able to sustain an effective attack for the entire game. On Saturday night, USF again fell behind early, but staged a 3rd period comeback that fell one goal short of a tie. The Ice Bulls season record now stand at 2 wins, 2 losses. The Ice Bulls next host the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles at the Brandon Ice Sports Forum on October 25th at 7:30 pm. Admission is only $5.00, or free with a valid USF student ID.
