Letter sent to City of Largo Mayor, Commission and Pinellas County Commissioners - Purcell-ZoningI am writing this letter to request that you consider my/our request to strongly express your opposition to the Pinellas County Commission regarding request from R. E. Purcell on Starkey Road (Unincorporated Largo, but surrounded by city of Largo residents) to zone this land from Industrial Limited to Industrial General. The county is proposing a development Agreement that gives Purcell five years to do what they are doing now and then they can pretty much do what they want to do. This plant makes gravel and creates a lot of pollution in the air, ground, and smell. We definitely do not want our situation to become any worse than what it already is. Our Forestbrook Advisory board voted to fight this zoning request. Can you please help us with this? The residents of other Condo Associations around this area, Country Club, Seminole Palms, and Willow Green also oppose this zoning change request.
