Residents of Clearwater had the opportunity to meet their neighborhood firefighters at Clearwater Fire & Rescue's third annual Fire Prevention Week Open House on October 11. All eight fire stations in the city were open to the public for the event, which featured displays and demonstrations as well as various activities for the younger set. Theme of this year's event was "Preventing Home Fires." Pictured above (l-r) are Station 47's firemedic Nathan Brooks, firefighter Patrick Davis, Jr., firefighter Michelle Williams, firemedic Sarah Happs and fire explorer Gabe Hahn. They are displaying some of the items, such as plastic firefighter helmets and coloring books highlighting fire safety, which would be handed out to children visiting the facility that day.
