Palm Harbor Library Offers Monster Madness – Two Weekends of Horror!

Teen Read Week Celebrates “Books with Bite”!

The Palm Harbor Library has planned a special way to celebrate Teen Read Week 2008.  This year’s theme is “Books with Bite”.  On Friday, October 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. teens are encouraged to come to the Palm Harbor Community Activity Center, 1500 16th Street, dressed as their favorite zombie, vampire, werewolf or monster.  They’ll have a chance to play Nintendo Wii, win prizes, talk about their favorite monster books and, of course, eat!  Call 727-784-3332, Ext. 203, to sign up.  You must be 13-18 to attend, and costumes are not required.

Halloween Celebration

The following Saturday, October 24, the library’s Youth Advisory Board and Parks and Recreation teen volunteers will be putting on their annual Haunted House, also at the Palm Harbor Community Activity Center.  This year’s event is based on the classic haunted mansion.  Kids beware:  this maze is scary!!   $1 gets you in if you are 8 and up.  All adults must be accompanied by a child.  Time to be announced.
