Learn All About Bats at the Countryside LibraryCLEARWATER. – The World of Bats program will be presented at the Clearwater Countryside Library, 2741 S. R. 580, Sunday, Oct. 26, 2 p.m. Cyndi and George Marks of the Florida Bat Conservancy will give this interesting and informative presentation on The World of Bats. Living bats will enhance the program, which will include a slide presentation about bats around the world to illustrate their unusual diversity, unique behaviors and benefits to humans. In 1994, the Marks founded the Florida Bat Center, now called the Florida Bat Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bat conservation in Florida. They have co-authored “Bats of Florida,” which is the first book completely dedicated to Florida’s bats.
