Local Foundation and Clearwater Police Reward Students for Wearing Seatbelts

CLEARWATER - To remind student drivers of the importance of wearing seat belts, the Clearwater Police Department and the Anthony Joseph Telesca Memorial Foundation rewarded high school students at Countryside High School, Clearwater, Friday, Oct. 24,11:30 a.m. (half day), with gift bags who were wearing their seat belts.

The Anthony Joseph Telesca Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization working with local high school districts, public safety and law enforcement officials, businesses and industries to develop teenagers with a life-long responsible and attentive driving attitude. The Anthony Joseph Telesca

Memorial Foundation's vision is to help prevent reckless teenage driving and thus save lives. This Foundation is dedicated to the memory of Anthony Joseph Telesca, a 16-year-old who died on Dec. 5, 2000 when he was a passenger in a one-car accident.
