Recs and ReadsBy Anne McKay GarrisWriting your family's history is something only you, or one of your family members is likely to do. And yet it is so much value to your family, now - and in the future. Get a start on writing your memoirs, or your family's history, at a free two hour workshop, planned for Monday, November 3, in the new multi-purpose room at the Clearwater Beach Library and Recreation Center. It's easy to find. Turn east at the tennis courts on Mandalay Avenue, and stop when you get to Clearwater Bay. Jan Golden, who will conduct the Memoirs Workshop, is experienced at helping people get started on the adventure of "writing it down." Learning about herbs can make a large difference in your health -- and your cooking. On Thursday afternoon, November 6, at 3:00 P.M. you can Learn About Herbs at the Beach Library and Recreation Center. Taught by Vicki Jackson, this program is sponsored by the Library and open to the public free of charge. These are only two of the programs planned for our new facility by the efforts of the library and recreation staff and the Friends Of The Clearwater Beach Library And Recreation Center Newly added to the Library is the Friends of the Library Book Nook where you can purchase gently used books for very low prices. Look for it to your right as you enter the door at the Library. If you haven't yet seen our new facility and its wonderful water view, you are missing a treat.
