Clearwater Marine Aquarium Appoints Frank Dame as Executive Vice President

CLEARWATER – Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) announces the appointment of Frank L. Dame as its new executive vice president.

Reporting to CEO David Yates, Dame’s responsibilities will include organizational and operational authority over all staff positions, while assisting in the overall management of CMA. He will directly oversee facilities, vessel donations, education, guest services, volunteer services and private events.

Dame graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. degree in finance. He has more than 34 years of experience in executive management. Previous positions include president of GTE Leasing Corporation, VP/GM of Verizon Credit Corporation and VP of Sales and Marketing for Progress Telecom, a wholesale broadband and wireless infrastructure company.

A long-time active member of the community, Dame currently serves on the City of Clearwater’s Community Development Board. He is a former member of the City’s Marine Advisory Board, the Charter Review Committee and Citizens Advisory Committee for review of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. He previously served on the Pinellas County Boating Access Task Force and is a past president of the Island Estates Civic Association. Dame also holds a Florida yacht broker’s license, is a certified scuba diver, private pilot and instructor for the United States Power Squadrons.
