Clearwater Park Offers Skateboarding Experience

Brandon Haley, 13, works on his skills and techniques in preparation for a contest at the Extreme Sports Park at the Ross Norton Recreation Complex in Clearwater not long ago. Brandon said he has been skateboarding for the past four years. The skate park is open Monday through Thursday, 2 p.m.-8:50 p.m. Bikes are permitted on the ramps on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8:50 p.m. Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Hours on Sunday are noon to 4:50 p.m. Call 462-6025 for further information. Gear is available for rental and purchase at the Skate Park Pro Shop located on the premises. Call 443-0209 for pro shop hours.
