Largo Recognizes Community LeadersLARGO- John Evans, assistant to the City Manager in Largo recognized several dedicated people during the last commission meeting held November 18. He said three residents have given substantial time and talents to their respective boards, helping to make the City of Largo a better place to live and work. Recognition went out to John Atanasio, Dorian Zupko and Barbara Smith who received applause for their significant contributions to the City of Largo. John Atanasio, who served on the Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB) prior to his appointment to the CDAB, received recognition from Community Development Director Carol Stricklin. Atanasio served on the Finance Advisory Board from April 2004 until April 2006. Library Director Casey McPhee presented Dorian Zupko with a special recognition for her service on the Library Advisory Board from November 2007 until September 2008. Barbara Smith received recognition for her service on the Finance Advisory Board from April 2000 until September 2008.
