Students Take Part in Time Traveler Program

Instructor David Allen, at back, center, is pictured with a group of students from Bay Vista Fundamental Elementary School on a recent Wednesday morning at Heritage Village. The students learned how life has changed during the past 150 years on the Pinellas Peninsula. At the time of the photo, Allen was demonstrating how citrus was once sorted and crated by hand after a citrus harvest. The session was part of the ongoing Time Traveler program offered to grades 3-6 throughout the year. Other programs are also available for students in grades K-3, K-8, middle school and high school.
