Local Teen Helps Children Across America With Collaboration Idea
(left) Julia Namm, The Pajama Game cast member and Stefanie Lehman, assistant choreographer for the show, assists her in collecting pajamas for children in foster care and shelters. The Largo Cultural Center's Eight O'clock Theatre collected over 400 pairs pajamas and nurturing books for children in need during its recent production on The Pajama Game. An additional $445 was also raised to help with the purchase of pajamas. The idea came from Julia Namm, left, a 15-year-old sophomore at East Lake High School who thought it was a natural fit, bringing in pajamas for kids in need, and watch the Tony Award winning musical The Pajama Game. The idea has caught on, as national chapters of the Pajama Program are now collaborating with local productions of The Pajama Game helping kids across the country.
