Dunedin Fire Department Conducts Promotional CeremonyOn Tuesday, December 9, Dunedin Fire Chief C. “Bud” Meyer conducted a promotional ceremony for five newly promoted Fire Department Officers. The promoted, which included four Lieutenants and one District Chief, all came from within the Dunedin Fire Department ranks. The promotions fill existing fire combat division vacancies and do not include any new positions. The ceremony, included family members and city dignitaries, and was conducted in the Fire Department Administration Building located at 1042 Virginia St, Dunedin. The City of Dunedin Fire Department Administration, firefighters and their families were present to honor the new Officers of the Department and to present them with their new badges. The newly promoted Officers are: District Chief Erich Thiemann, Lieutenant Steven Forster, Lieutenant Jeff Knieja, Lieutenant Eric Rodriguez, and Lieutenant Martin Vilimek.
