PEOPLE AROUND TOWN: Meet local Florida wildlife artist Ernest Simmons, left, who was caught on camera with Jill Berry at the recent Holiday Art Show at the Plainsman Gallery in Clearwater. Simmons, who resides in Dunedin, was one of the featured artists in the show. His colorful giclees can be seen on the wall behind them. Simmons has been the subject of recent articles in Wildlife Art and Local Angler magazines. His entry in this year's prestigious Federal Duck Stamp Art Competition took fifth place. There were over 270 entries.

It's birthday time once again for Liz Hopwood, David Andrews and Sal Gregorio. All turn a year older today, December 18 ...
