Margaret Malacha, Jacqueline Malacha, Genowefa Izak, Jozef Izak, Violet Malacha and Chester Malacha gather for a photo on Christmas Eve prior to their traditional Polish dinner featuring 12 different dishes. The customary 12 dishes are served as a symbol of the 12 apostles. According to Polish custom, their Christmas supper began with a special wafer called oplatek, which was broken into pieces and shared by all. The old custom of leaving one seat empty for a stranger in need was also followed.
