Caladesi Welcome

This humble sign is posted at the southern end of Caladesi Island State Park, welcoming all to the nation’s #1 beach in America, according to Professor Stephen Leatherman, otherwise known as “Dr. Beach.” Professor Leatherman began his annual list of finest beaches in 1989 and Caladesi has consistently ranked in his top ten of America’s Best Beaches ever since.
