Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that compared to other charities in America, HEP excels in successfully managing the finances of the organization in an efficient and effective manner. The consistency in HEP’s rating is an exceptional feat, especially given the economic challenges many charities have had to face in the last year. The Homeless Emergency Project is one of the oldest and largest providers of emergency housing and support services in Tampa Bay. For over forty years, HEP has been providing homeless children, adults, and low-income individuals and families with housing, food, clothing, and support services necessary to obtain self-sufficiency and improved quality of life.
