
USF Icebulls to Host College Hockey TournamentThe University of South Florida Icebull hockey team will sponsor the second annual Madison Goss and Friends Pediatric Cancer Awareness Tournament Jan. 16-18 at the Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex in Ellenton, Fla. Eight teams from across the nation will compete in the tourney, which will not only feature some exciting college hockey, but will also raise money benefiting charities related to pediatric cancer. The tournament was named in honor of Madison Goss, a four-year old from Atlanta battling a rare form of liver cancer. The Icebulls became involved with Madison and her family during the 2006-2007 season, and they have raised thousands of dollars for her medical trust, as well as other pediatric cancer related charities over the past three seasons. California State Northridge, Florida Atlantic University, Florida Institute of Technology, Middle Tennessee State University, Robert Morris University, Salisbury University, University of South Carolina and University of South Florida will compete in the tournament. The Ice Bulls are asking for a $5 donation at the door for each day. Fans donating $10 or more will receive a three-day tournament pass.
