13th Annual Neuter-A-Thon Slated

CLEARWATER – The Humane Society of Pinellas has started taking appointments for the 13th Annual Neuter-A-Thon which will be held on Saturday, February 21. This is the time to schedule the low-cost neuter for your cat(s)!

Pet overpopulation leads to homeless, neglected, abused and unwanted pets. The Humane Society of Pinellas encourages all pet owners to neuter or spay their pets to help with the overpopulation problems not only in our area, but nationwide. If you have an intact male cat, know someone who does, or have a roaming one, please invite him for this year’s Neuter-A-Thon.

Pre-registration is required to participate in the Neuter-A-Thon. All appointments are to be scheduled in person. Appointments will be set on a first come first serve basis and limited to the first 500. Owners are required to fill out an application, sign consent form, provide a valid ID and pay for services prior to February 18. Feline neuters will be $15. All participants MUST have proof of a current Rabies Vaccine and a county license for all residents of Pinellas County. If needed, the Rabies Vaccine will be administered for $2 and a license for $10. You can also elect to have a microchip implanted during this procedure for $15.

The Humane Society of Pinellas invites ALL intact male cats for a special date at The Humane Society of Pinellas’ Sterling & Calvin Medical Center located at 3040 State Rd. 590 in Clearwater. Remember to register in person Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 11- 5:30, Friday 11-7, Saturday and Sunday 10-4. Feel free to call with any questions at 727-797-7722 x 222.
