Free Car Care Clinic Teaches Women How To Protect Themselves From Auto Repair Rip-Off ArtistsOn February 21, Ice Cold Air, a Pinellas-based company is providing an “open shop” for women of all ages who want to learn the secrets of auto repair and how to protect themselves from possible rip-offs, and gain a little hands-on knowledge of how their car operates. According to Paul Hartigan, owner of the Ice Cold Air location at 6401 US Hwy19 N in Pinellas Park, “Week after week, we have women into our shop expressing their anxiety about automotive repair and maintenance. Many have expressed an interest in learning more about what really makes a car work, and how to protect themselves from scam-artists. We decided to put together a presentation and an open shop that will once and for all give women the questions to ask and the knowledge they need to make the right choice when it comes to automotive repair.” The car care clinic will be starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 21st. There will be coffee, bagels and muffins provided. All attendees will receive an automotive repair guide, coupons for automotive related services, and a gift bag full of useful automotive goodies. People wishing to attend should call or drop an e-mail to Ice Cold Air, during normal business hours (Monday thru Friday 8:00 - 5:30 / Saturday 8:00 – 2:00) at 727-525-1197 and phartigan@icecoldair.net.
