Eagles on Honeymoon Island

Honeymoon Island is one of the most visited parks in Florida offering beautiful beaches and superb nature trails that are home to many Ospreys and a small number of American Eagles. This photo by local photographer Ed Weiss captured two eagles who ventured from their nest on Honeymoon Island recently. The eagles are often visible at the end of the main trail that leads to the tip of the island. The entrance to Honeymoon Island State Park is at the west end of Curlew Road in Dunedin.
