Stimulus PlanI support this plan because the position of most economists is that a major infusion of government funds is quickly needed to avoid a catastrophic economic collapse. Almost all the Republican legislators agree on this, and would be spending as much money as the Democrats plan. However, they were able to oppose it unanimously in the House knowing it would pass anyway and then they could all take their shots. In the Senate the Republicans were willing to give up three of their own since that was necessary to get it passed quickly. - Dave Kiser
