Seeking Trashy Designers for Recycled Fashion Show
LARGO - The City of Largo is proud to present the Trashy Fashion Show 2009~The Sequel. In celebration of Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22. The Trashy Fashion Show will once again dump on the Largo Cultural Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. After great success with men's suits made from soda cans and women's tops from candy wrappers in 2008, the Recycling Division is excited to see what the community's trashy designers have in store for this year.
The Trashy Fashion Show was created to instill an awareness of the importance of alternative waste solutions throughout the Largo community and in tomorrow's leaders. Participants are encouraged to create wearable fashions made from at least 75% recyclable or reused materials that would otherwise be thrown away or recycled, this does NOT include vintage clothing.
Adults, students and families will compete for prizes and the title of the Trashiest Designer. Deadline for entries is Friday, March 20, so start saving your trash today. A paper-free application is available online at www.LargoRecycles.com or call 72-.586-7424 and let us see how trashy you are Largo?
