
Clearwater Main Library Spring 2009 Art ExhibitsCLEARWATER – Spring art exhibits will be on display until May 27 throughout the Clearwater Main Library’s galleries, 100 N. Osceola Ave.: Celebrating Japan, by artist June Colburn will be on display in the Carnegie Gallery. An exhibition of Japanese inspired quilts. Landscape and Life Models, by artist Dorothy Gardiner will be on display in the Osceola Gallery. An exhibit of her plein air paintings, oils, and sculpture. Nagano and Clearwater: Sister Cities. The City of Clearwater and Nagano, Japan are celebrating 50 years of being Sister Cities. Gifts that Clearwater has received from Nagano will be on display in Special Collections on the fourth floor. Cherry Blossom Season, handcrafted artworks from Japan will be on display in the Lobby Display Cases on the first floor from April through May. The galleries are open Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, call (727) 562-4970.
