Highly Anticipated Evening of Elegance and Southern StyleCLEARWATER - The forty-two-year Omelette Party, “An Evening with Chef D’Oeuf,” tradition continues benefitting UPARC Foundation, Inc. Patrons of the annual fundraiser, which provides funds for the programs and services of UPARC (The Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens), can mark their calendars for Friday, April 3rd from 8 p.m. until midnight. The Omelette Party originated in Belleair and has raised over $3.2M for UPARC over the years. Rudy Stanish, the world renowned chef whose delicious omelettes earned him the title “The Omelette King,” generously brought his culinary mastery to Clearwater for more than 30 years as he served as the featured chef of the party. Chef Rudy no longer travels, but in his honor, omelettes remain the signature fare with Carlouel Yacht Club’s chefs preparing a variety of amazing dishes to satisfy every palate. The party will also feature dancing to the sounds of the 13 piece band Southtown Fever. Fine art and jewelry as well as hand crafted artwork created by UPARC clients from UPARC’s Harborside Studios will all be available for purchase. There will be a fabulous Plant Sale following the party, including incredible orchids on Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. until noon. Both events will be held at a beautiful private home on Belleview Island. Directions to the Plant Sale are available by calling Karen Seel at (727) 409-6072. Molly du Pont Schaffer and Trevor Schaffer and Janice and Douglas Birch will be chairing this year’s event which has a committee composed of 33 volunteers.
