
Nagano, Japan Students Visit ClearwaterCLEARWATER - Eleven middle school students, two teachers and a guide from Nagano, Japan are visiting Clearwater beginning as part of the city’s Sister City Exchange Program. Clearwater is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its sister cities relationship with Nagano. The students and teachers are staying in citizens’ homes in the Clearwater area. Among their activities, they will visit Coachman Fundamental Middle School, observe classes and give presentations about Japan. They will also create designs for Japanese lanterns in preparation for an April 25 downtown Clearwater lantern festival commemorating the anniversary.
