The event was one of several field events scheduled that day as part of the 30th Annual Good Life Games/Pinellas County Senior Games. DeLong, who was participating in the 70-74 age division, took first place for his passing and kicking efforts. Good Life Games, Inc. is a non-profit organization that promotes healthy lifestyles and encourages adults 50 and over to enhance the value and vitality of their lives through athletic and recreational competition, social events, volunteerism and other activities. The games, which got under way on March 16, will conclude with a cycling event, road race and sprint triathlon on April 4.
