National Society of Arts and Letters Honors Competition Winners and Community Award Leader at April Awards Luncheon

National Society of Arts and Letters Clearwater/Tampa Bay is proud to announce the winners of the Drama/Comedy Competition held on March 14, 2009 at the Murray Theater Studio. This year five young contestants were chosen to receive monetary awards for their performances.

  • First Place Winner - Jack Holloway
  • Second Place Winner - Jessica Rothert
  • Third Place Winner - Christopher Rutherford
  • Fourth Place Winner - Shane Ferreira
  • Fifth Place Winner - Gi Sung

Each of these winners will be honored at the Annual NSAL Community Awards Luncheon held Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Belleair Country Club in Belleair where they will each receive their monetary award.

First Place Winner, Jack Holloway will be representing the Clearwater/Tampa Bay Chapter at the National Competition in Washington D.C. on May 14-17. He will be competing with the other first place winners from chapters throughout the United States.

Clearwater/Tampa Bay Chapter‘s Community Award recipient is the distinguished Dr. Kuttler, President of St. Petersburg College. He is known for his entrepreneurial spirit and support of the arts not only at the college but in greater Pinellas County as well.

The mission of the NSAL is to encourage and assist young artists by awarding scholarships and awards to non-members in the arts through competitions and exhibitions, and to promote greater public interest in the arts.
