Don't procrastinate because "too hot" days are just ahead. How to enjoy it? The Clearwater Beach Recreation Center is the place to start. There's the friendly pool with good stuff for the kiddies, comfortable sitting and watching for the adults, or the deep end to really swim in for all of us. Did you know you can rent the pool for a private party? What an easy way to entertain, especially if you are entertaining kids. It's also almost time for the popular annual Easter Egg Hunt, planned for Mandalay Park (beside the fire station on Mandalay Avenue) at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 10. This fun event for young and old is co-sponsored by the Clearwater Beach Association and the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center. Bring a basket for your youngsters, and your camera for you. Now might be the time to sign on for tennis lessons. Be prepared to outmaneuver your offspring on the tennis court during summer vacation. Call 462-6138 for information. There's also indoors stuff to enjoy. Memoirs Of A Geisha, starring Ziyi Zhang and Ken Watanabe will be the Monday movie on April 13, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Clearwater Beach Library. It's about a geisha who survives cruel treatment in the geisha house, but grows up to be the most famous geisha in Japan. She experiences the privileges of wealth and society until World War II changes life as she knows it forever. This movie received two Oscars in 2006. And you get to watch it, free.
