Watering trees and roundabout – Letter sent to Largo Commissioners and MayorA few days ago we drove up 137th Street. There was a truck watering the approximately 60+ newly planted trees. My questions to the commissioners are: 1. Why is the city planting trees when we are on water restrictions? 2. Why were so many trees planted approximately 10' apart. Are they going to be thinned out when they mature? 3. In these times of cutbacks, how many people do we employ to take care of all this landscaping? My other question is regarding the roundabout on Rosery and Highland Avenue. I come through there approximately once a week. I have never encountered a traffic problem nor do I see pedestrians. Why does the city want to spend over 7 Million Dollars when there is no problem? Are you looking for trouble? Do you remember the roundabout in Clearwater Beach (a lot of people are avoiding it.). Did not someone lose their job over that? This is not England were roundabouts apparently work. Are there still people left in city hall with some common sense? - Christel Hunsicker
