Mermaid Stroll, Brunch to Benefit SanctuaryThe Suncoast Sandpipers Volkssport Club, the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary and the town of Indian Shores are hosting the 60th annual Mermaid Cavalcade, 5K and 10K non-competitive walks Saturday, April 11th. Participants are encouraged to wear their brightest beach attire in a salute to the return of warm weather. The Seabird Sanctuary will offer tours to walkers as they return from their strolls. The walk fee is $2, kids walk for free. A beach brunch will be available for $5 with proceeds going to the sanctuary. The walks start any time between 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, 18328 Gulf Blvd., Indian Shores.
