Dunedin Books a Party Set for Saturday

Costumed characters Huggy Bear and Poochie Puppy will be on hand for the Dunedin Books a Party Reading Festival at the Dunedin Public Library, 223 Douglas Ave., on Saturday, April 18. Morning activities include a drum circle (family participation encouraged) at 10 a.m. and face painting by Vondie the Clown from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Among the all day activities are sidewalk chalk drawing, inflatable bounce houses, arts and crafts, trivia games for both children and adults, a bubble bonanza and book contest. A storytime with Huggy Bear and Poochie Puppy is scheduled at 2 p.m. For more information, contact the Youth Services Department at 298-3080, ext. 240.
