
Morton Plant Mease Offers Free Athletic Physical to Pinellas County High School SudentsAs a service to the community, a team of Morton Plant Mease physicians, certified athletic trainers and physical therapists will perform free physical exams to Pinellas County high school students who plan to participate in school sports activities. The exams include checks of height, weight, blood pressure, vision, lungs and musculoskeletal system. Staff of the Morton Plant Mease Lung Center will also be on hand to offer students information on managing asthma symptoms. The exams are offered by Morton Plant Mease free of charge, however, some high schools may require a $10 fee to support school booster clubs. The exams will be held: Saturday, May 2, 8 a.m. to NoonREGISTRATION: There is no registration required. However, students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or bring a signed Preparticipation Physical Exam form (EL-2) found on the FHSAA.org website. The Florida High School Athletic Association requires a physical examination prior to student participation in high school sporting activities.
