Colonial Dames XVII Century Presents Books

Julia Noah, President of Berkeley Plantation Chapter, recently presented two books to Scott Thompson, CEO of the Greater Largo Library Foundation, Inc.  The books were donated in memory of Phoebe Crocker Mills McCue, who was a charter member of the chapter and had held several offices through the years.   One book lists the lineages of Florida members of Colonial Dames XVII Century and the other is a history of the National Society.  The books will be placed in the Genealogy Section of the Largo Public Library.

The next meeting will be held on May 8, at noon, at Stacey's Buffet, 1451 Missouri Avenue North, Largo.  Former State President, Barbara Card will install new officers.  This will be the last meeting until Fall.

Women who are descendants of an ancestor who lived and served prior to 1701 in one of the original colonies are eligible to join and are invited to attend the meeting.  Call 531-2100 for further information.
