Clearwater Garden Club Flower Show Reaps a "Harvest" of Entries

Garden clubs present flower shows for a number of reasons. To educate their members and the viewing public and to stimulate an interest in horticulture are two. Another reason the Clearwater Garden Club plans an annual standard flower show is to provide its members with an outlet for creative expression.

This year's "Harvest" show took place March 27-28. Entries were judged by National Garden Club accredited judges. Marion Crane, organizer of the show, won a "Top Award" for Table Artistry. Longtime member Belen Brown was winner of the Designer's Choice Award and the Award of Design Excellence. She also took home "Top Awards" in the Petite and Arboreal categories. The Award of Horticultural Excellence was presented to Dorothy Borneman. The Artistic Crafts Award went to Jean Columbo.
