Sent to Largo City CommissionI would like to ask, why do we need to change Park Plaza now? This seems to be the worse time since the economy is in such turmoil. I wonder how many people, who pass this particular spot at Seminole and West Bay each day, really even look at Park Plaza. They, like myself, are too busy watching out for traffic and people. Is it just another way to be spending our money? Why is it so imperative that it has to be done now? When something is planned to be done, why is it not done properly the first time? I am thinking about the area where paving bricks were bought by families and wives of veterans and the names and ranks were engraved on each brick, and then they were all taken up and monies spent to rearrange the Military site . I wonder, also, why anyone would want to put a Roundabout at Highland Ave and Rosary Rd. This is another crazy idea and another way to spend more money when it is not needed. I am out at the Highland Rec Center very often and I have yet to see any problems and I have traveled that area for over 40 years. I `m pretty sure that all of you, except for, hopefully, our Mayor and Mary Black, will make sure this Park Plaza project goes through. Just remember that most of the citizens of Largo do not want these projects to happen and if they do, they will surely make a big change when it comes election time again.
