
“Art For Life” Will Feature Exhibits and Demo Free and Open to the Public May 19 at Regency OaksCLEARWATER -- In conjunction with Older Americans' Month this May, Regency Oaks, 2720 Regency Oaks Blvd., will host Art For Life, a community-wide exhibit celebrating active aging and the arts. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 19 from 2 pm to 4 pm. at Regency Oaks. There is no charge to attend. Food, refreshments and musical entertainment are all included. The main exhibit at Art for Life will feature the creative achievements of Regency Oaks artists in a juried show including categories for paintings, photography, textiles, carvings and more. “We’ve been doing this show for four years now and we never cease to be amazed by the creations that come out of Regency Oaks. We can’t wait to showcase them,” said Judy Stump, Director of Community Relations for Regency Oaks. Prize-winning artwork will also be published in Regency Oaks’ 2010 resident art calendar. According to Stump, other show highlights include violinist Oleg Geyer, the award winning soloist who has performed with the Florida Orchestra, a live demonstration by Regency Oaks painting instructor Toni Hufiltz and an auxiliary exhibit by the Miniature Art Society of Florida. All guests will be eligible to reserve a free 2010 Resident Art calendar.
