Scouts Help with Park Project

Photos/text by SANDI FAHY

Members of Boy Scout Pack and Troop 404 of Clearwater pose for a photo before embarking on a planting project at McGough Nature Park in Largo on May 9. The scouts were among the many clubs, organizations and individuals who turned out to help replant over an acre of land that had been invaded by exotic plants. Pictured, front from left, are Drew Askins, Joseph Johnson, Chaz Baker, Gabe Brown, Noah Miller and Grant Lincoln. At back (l-r) are Largo Superintendent of Parks and assistant cub master Greg Brown, pack chairman Chuck Warrington and cub master Bill Askins.

Helping with the replanting project at McGough Nature Park on May 9 are Stacie Davis, far right, who was there with (front from left) Emily Cheshire, Kaitlin Davis and Kellsie Davis, all members of Daisy Troop 415 of Seminole. The Davis sisters' brother, Kent, shown at back, also lent his assistance that day.
