Wayman Tisdale Dies at 44
Jazz Bassist and former NBA star Wayman Tisdale brought his band and a lot of joy to the WSJT Smooth Jazz concert on May 2nd, one of his last. It was reported that Wayman Tisdale, 44, died on Friday, May 14th. Since his last Coachman Park appearance in 2005, Tisdale was diagnosed with cancer in his right leg, and it was amputated above the knee. His death was attributed complications from cancer treatment. Tisdale's experience getting fitted with a prosthetic leg led him to form the Wayman Tisdale foundation to help cancer victims and amputees.
