
Florida Library Association Honors Greater Largo Library Foundation Board Member
Lynn Pippenger The Immediate Past President of the Greater Largo Library Foundation (GLLF) was honored earlier this month by the Florida Library Association for her volunteer work on behalf of the Largo Public Library. Lynn Pippenger, currently the Vice President/COO of the GLLF, received the Florida Association’s Friends, Foundations and Boards Outstanding Member Award at the Association’s annual conference, May 8, in Orlando. As a member of the GLLF’s Board, and in her past and current roles as an officer of the Board, Pippenger uses her business background to strengthen the Foundation’s role in the community and to improve its finances and investments. Pippenger provides her time, talent and financial support to the Foundation, and also to the Pinellas County Genealogical Society, which houses its collection at the Largo Public Library. A lifetime Pinellas County resident, Pippenger is a 40-year employee of Raymond James, where she has served in a number of leadership positions. The GLLF is a non-profit organization that cultivates funding resources and advocates for the Largo Public Library to enhance innovative Library services for the community’s educational and social enrichment. The Florida Library Association is the non-profit advocacy group for Florida’s libraries, librarians and support staff.
