
TBSA Countryside Competes in ISI 50th Anniversary Competition in Orlando
The Tampa Bay Skating Academy Countryside will compete May 22 - May 25 in the Ice Skating Institute's (ISI) 50th Anniversary Competition at The Ice Den, RDV Orlando Sportsplex in Maitland, FL. Skaters across the nation, as well as several other countries, will participate. The Production Team will compete with an adaptation of Camelot called "Skate a lot", in addition to their many other individual and group events. Skatealot puts the story of King Arthur (Kyle James), Guenevere (Sara Preston Davidson), and Sir Lancelot (Trent Wintermeier) into the realm of figure skating and hockey playing using 4-1/2 minutes of the most well known music from the show written by Frederic Loewe and Alan Jay Lerner almost fifty years ago. The Production Team is coached by Bill Coyle. (front) Kyle James, Tiffany Gedeon Production Team consists of a group of 8 - 32 skaters of all skill levels who are judged according to the performance value of the program, using music along with elaborate costumes and props to enhance the theme while creating an entertaining performance. Team members' parents created the props and costumes for the show.
